Tell us about your project

From the 13th-18th July 2015, Murdoch University will host the 8th annual World Student Environmental Network Summit bringing up to 70 student delegates from all corners of the globe to Perth, WA.

Together the delegates will learn, share and hope for a better, brighter future where people are more connected to the natural areas that sustain them. The theme of this year's summit is Reconnecting with Nature, with all of our key note addresses and workshops centered around this theme.

This Summit will directly impact delegates attending from countries such as Australia, Vietnam, South Africa, Canada, Cameroon and Switzerland as well as the local community.

Thursday 16th July will see WSEN present the Forgotten Earth: Reconnecting with Nature Fair which will open the Summit to the local community. This free community event will feature key note addresses from City of Fremantle Mayor Brad Pettitt and WA Greens Senator Scott Ludlam. There will also be a panel discussion on Perth's Water Scarcity and one on the impacts of Uranium Mining on Remote Communities. As well as that there will be stalls, workshops, food and entertainment all centered on Bush Court, at Murdoch University.

This is a completely student led and organised event, and we need your support to make it a reality.

How are you planning on spending the money?

The WSEN Summit aims to allow delegates from a variety of nations and circumstances to attend and as such we are relying on your generous support to make this happen.

Thanks to generous contributions from Murdoch University and the Murdoch University Guild of Students we are well on our way to financing this event, however we still need your help.

Your generous donations will enable us to pay for:
$1,500 will cover our costs for the Forgotten Earth: Reconnecting with Nature Fair including promotional materials, event approval and workshop materials.

And tell us about those perks…

Under $50 - Letter of Thanks and recognition in our Digital Sponsors Book compiled at end of conference
