We’re Wellington’s costumed crusaders...

The Midsummer Fayre is a big, noisy, colourful community festival that takes over the historic heart of Wellington for one day each year. Organised by a small band of dedicated volunteers for over a decade, it brings thousands of visitors into the town to enjoy music, dancing and street theatre all inspired by Wellington’s ancient June festivities. A showcase for schools, charities and community groups, it also helps to bring the town together for a range of good causes. And we do it all dressed as Georgians!

But we need your help...

The Fayre costs our community group over £2000 to host each year. A quarter of this comes from Wellington Town Council and a quarter from our fee-paying traders, but that leaves us about £1000 to find either from local businesses or residents. Big sponsors are hard to find, so we’re really hoping that local people can help us plug the gap.

A little goes a long way...

£500 will make sure we can pay for this year’s event - so if we can find fifty people to each spare a tenner, we’ll be home and dry!
