We have lived through some years of drought now, have seen kangaroos, koalas and other wildlife die of dehydration, livestock shot, farmers desperate and adrift.

Now, with the recent bushfires, animals, ecosystems and communities are under even more pressure. The whole world is grieving and looking at these fires with horror, fear and disbelief.

A Voice for all Animals

We would love for you to help us make this event Australian and international news.

This free public event will be live streamed over 1.5 hours, and will include short eulogies from first responders, prominent animal advocates and environmental leaders, music, dance and a short film. Australian dignitaries will be invited to attend.

This event is not a protest, but rather an opportunity to mourn, to connect and to recognise that together we can create hope and meaningful change.

Are you able to be involved through your presence, to speak on the day, to submit a brief video message, or provide contacts for performance, sponsorship or other support?

To whom it may concern

I would like to personally endorse the work of Veterinarians for Climate Action in hosting ‘Vigil for our Animals’, a public event that will give us the chance to grieve the recent loss of a billion wildlife and stock.

We can see how deeply the loss of animals has touched the hearts of the Australian and international communities, creating a deep desire to come together and share our sadness, whilst receiving words of wisdom, hope and our required new direction.
