Just Imagine....

On October 31, 2016, Rheanna Trepanier was picked up from school complaining of a bad headache, sore eyes, and feeling sick to her stomach. Marissa Trepanier, Rheanna’s mother, brought her into the Stollery where not even an hour later she was rushed into surgery. After various examinations and tests, the family received terrible news. The doctors found four tumors in her brain, the biggest one the size of a golf ball.

Over the next 12 days, Rheanna went through three brain surgeries and a blood transfusion to decrease the pressure in her brain. Days later, on Rheanna’s tenth birthday, she received her Pathology and biopsy results. Diagnosed with tumors throughout her brain; anaplastic oligodendroglioma grade III and glioblastoma grade IV, both aggressive types of tumors leaving her with only months to live.

Rheanna, now ten and not expected to see her eleventh birthday, decided to create, “Rheanna’s Bucket List” to make the most out of the time she has left. With help from some kind-hearted people that were touched by her story, Rheanna got to tick some items off her bucket list; driving a tank on the army base, dog sledding in the Northwest Territories, meeting Connor McDavid, and tours of news and radio stations are just a few examples of her amazing experiences.
