Our social groups provide young individuals on the autism spectrum a place to connect and learn.
What our social groups are?
A relaxed yet engaging and safe environment using a strengths-based approach to increase the participants feelings of self-worth and self-esteem.
Who comes to our social groups?
Young people between the ages of 10-30 on the autism spectrum.
What we do in our social groups?
Fun, engaging and social activites that cater to their specific wants and needs.
What we love about our social groups?
We LOVE our special interest projects, like coding, art, digital design, dancing, music and yoga!
But there’s a problem
The big problem is that we don’t have enough money to continue running our special interest program past Term 1 2018.
As we don’t receive any government funding and rely on fundraising, donations and grants, we really need your help!
How can you help?
We need your help to continue to run our AMAZING special interest program in 2018, including visual and digital arts, coding, and more!
We’ll spend the money on:
- Retaining our AWESOME special interest facilitators, and employing new ones to increase the diversity of projects we offer.
- Buying quality supplies, such as art/craft supplies and technological software.
- Holding an interactive art exhibition and featuring digital and visual artwork in an exhibit at the 2018 Autism West Symposium.
And the best part of all...
Continuing to provide gainful employment to people on the spectrum as our special interest facilitators to share and teach what they love and are good at, so they then can mentor other young people with autism.
