CORONAVIRUS UPDATE: PREGNANT THEN SCREWED LIVE, YORK
12 March 2020
Like everyone else, we’ve been monitoring the spread of COVID-19 and have been in daily talks with both York Theatre Royal, and our event partner, the CIPD, about whether we should proceed with Pregnant Then Screwed Live, York this coming Sunday 15th March.
It is with a heavy heart that we have taken the decision to postpone Sunday’s event. It’s not a decision we have taken lightly but we have to consider that our event has a bespoke audience made up largely of new mums, parents with small children and pregnant women.
This event is the culmination of many months of work and a really exciting partnership between ourselves and the CIPD, aimed at supporting parents back into work. It was also due to be our first event in Yorkshire; we’ve been overwhelmed by the warm response to our brilliant line-up of speakers and a cracking programme that included 24 local employers who were committed to helping parents return to work. We are hugely disappointed that we can not proceed with the event and we know you will be too.
We have always put the wellbeing of mothers and pregnant women at the heart of everything we do at Pregnant Then Screwed, so we cannot now, in good conscience, host a large event where a health risk may be posed to the very people whose lives we try to better.
We are postponing this event until September/October and we are currently in talks with the wonderful team at York Theatre Royal about alternative dates. We’ll be in touch with all attendees by email regarding the transfer of existing tickets and refunds, but we hope that we’ll see you all back in York in the Autumn.
