Mutual Aid / Disaster Relief Fund
The New York City chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America is unwavering in its commitment to anti-capitalist, decolonized mutual aid justice. In these uncertain and dangerous times, we cannot afford to rely only on the state to relieve the material suffering of working class families.
The COVID-19 global public health crisis has thrown every contradiction and failure of capitalism into striking relief; at this time more than ever, we must turn to our community networks for solidarity and collective care.
Donate to the NYC-DSA COVID-19 Mutual Aid Fund to ensure that marginalized communities, workers who have lost income, families, immunosuppressed folx, and anyone else in need can access food, resources, and supplies.

What we're using these funds for
Our NYC-DSA Socialist Feminist Abolition Action Group recently launched a Grocery Fund in order to provided necessary direct aid and support to local communities and individuals affected by the COVID-19 crisis.
This fund is a contuation and expansion of those efforts.

Our forms are currently NOT ACCEPTING NEW REQUESTS FOR FUNDS. We are trying to fulfill our current batch of requests and raise more funds and may reopen the form once more funds come in.

If you are part of a partner group doing grocery deliveries to people affected by COVID-19, you may request reimbursement from the NYC-DSA Citywide Fund. You must include a photo of your receipt to receive the reimbursement — we cannot pre-pay out funds. Additionally, we're only using Cash App for reimbursements.
