UPDATE 28/11/19: WOW! You're amazing. You've given so generously, that we've increased our target. We've only got 2 weeks until election day. In that time, we want to pay for targeted social media adverts, a pre-polling day leaflet and a Green-branded electric bus for the day itself to help get Green voters out to the polls.

Will you help us to get that big finish to our campaign?

UPDATE 12/11/19:

We're absolutely blown away: thank you for your generosity. Your donations are already making a critical difference to our campaigns. We have already delivered thousands of leaflets in support of Caroline, Alexandra and Ollie. Vote Green posters are up in windows right across the city centre. And we've trained loads of volunteers to knock on doors and talk to Green voters. To get a brilliant result however, we need to hit our target, as quickly as possible: please give generously and share on every social media platform possible. THANK YOU!

Caroline Lucas: the Green people's champion

In 2010, thousands of people like you said ‘No’ to politics as usual and elected Caroline Lucas to represent us in Parliament. In 2015 and 2017, we re-elected her with bigger majorities.

In 2019, with UK democracy in peril and the Amazon on fire, we need to make sure Caroline is re-elected as an MP, with a huge mandate.

Alongside her leading role in calling for a People's Vote on a disastrous Brexit, Caroline's been a passionate campaigner for the environment, the NHS, social justice and human rights. And she has helped hundreds of people in her Brighton Pavilion constituency, on everything from housing to deportation.

The most important election in a generation

Now Boris Johnson has called a snap election on December 12th to force through an extreme Brexit, with consequences that could be devastating for our environment, for our economy, for our world-famous health service, and for our city.

Brighton, Caroline's home town, overwhelmingly voted to remain part of the EU. Caroline has guaranteed that she will be fighting tooth and nail for the best possible outcome from the position we're now in; standing up for EU nationals, defending our environment and protecting our hard-won social rights.

The result of this election will shape not only what happens on Brexit, but the future of our democracy and our country. It's critical that Caroline, as the only Green MP in the UK, is re-elected.

You can ensure Caroline is re-elected

Nothing is certain in politics at the moment. We need to run a brilliant campaign to be sure that we can keep Caroline in parliament, and that she has a strong, well-resourced local party to support her beyond it.

Plus: one Green MP, even one as brilliant as Caroline, just isn't enough to tackle the climate and nature crises and build an economy that works for everyone. So we're getting ready to elect more Green MPs to join Caroline in Westminster.

But brilliant election campaigns cost money: we need to talk to voters, get our leaflets through letter boxes, pay for ads - and the next 5 weeks will fly by.

Our financial support comes entirely from people like you. People who donate whatever they can afford. We don’t get contributions from big businesses, or Trades Unions, all our money comes from regular people like you.

By donating to the campaign to re-elect Caroline you will ensure there’s still a gutsy, progressive voice in Parliament after the General Election.

Other Ways You Can Help

Crowdfunders like this are successful when you tell your friends about it too. Please help by spreading the word. Email your friends and family, and encourage them to give too. Tell all your contacts on social media about our crowdfunder and help us to help Caroline.

We also need hundreds of volunteers to get those leaflets through the doors, call voters, and run our office. Everyone is welcome, and there’s lots to do. You can get in touch to help out here…

And of course, don’t forget to vote Green on December 12th – wherever you are.

Frequently asked questions

I'm having trouble entering my card details on the payment screen.

When you fill out your card details, please make sure that you've filled in all 4 fields (long card number; expiry date in MM/YY format; the CVC i.e. the 3 digit security number on the back of the card; and the postcode for the billing address of the card). On some screens you may need to scroll or 'tab' along to ensure you can fill in all these fields.

What are you going to use the money for?

We will use your donations to: get our messages out to the voters in Brighton and Hove; to run campaigns to re-elect Caroline Lucas (in Brighton Pavilion) and send Ollie Sykes (Hove) and Alexandra Phillips (Brighton Kemptown) to join her in Parliament; and to build the capacity of the city's Green Party to support Caroline and the Green team at the election and into the future.

What happens if you get more money than you need?

Brilliant. If we get more than we need to cover our election costs, we’ll be saving that money for our campaigning throughout the year, and helping Caroline to do her job of representing all you Green Party voters.

I’m not based in the UK – can I still give money?

We can only accept money if you’re either entitled to vote in the UK elections, or if you’re a UK based company. If you’re not a UK voter or a UK company, please think about supporting a Green Party near you.

Do I need to give my name?

You don’t have to put your name up on the crowdfunder site here, if you’d rather be anonymous.

We’ll need to record your donation to comply with election rules, so please fill in your real name and address for our election records even if you're going to be anonymous on the crowdfunder site, otherwise we'll have to give you your money back.

Thanks so much for your help – we can’t do it without you.
