A little bit of context

Ben Brown, Army Airborne Ranger, Officer, Father of 6, husband and Volunteer at 9 Week Warrior, Ben is also 100% Disabled Veteran. Some Veterans, Police and Firefighter come back with much more visible scares of how they have protected this country. Bens are not so visible. Ben has Traumatic Brain Injury, PTSD, terribly arthritic hips, and very little sensation in his right leg from shrapnel being lodged in to it. Since coming home from deployment Ben struggled with many of the issues that many face when they now have to give up what they thought they were made to do or be. Getting out of the Military, retiring as a Police office or fire fighter is often scary to many of the men and women who protect us every day. Ben is no different. He got out to be a Daddy, and he fell into depression, became suicidal, and lost his identity. What do you do with your life? Ben's remedy was to exercise. Little did he know that repetition heals the brain, the heart and the mind. His journey has taken him thru weightlifting, CrossFit, yoga, Gut check, and now landed him for the last two years running. No Not 5k, not half marathons, not full marathons, in true Ranger fashion he has run 50 miles, 83 miles and now 100 miles on August 17-19 in Big Bear CA.

But there’s a problem

Ben has not only committed his life to be the best Husband and Daddy he can be , he has committed every moment possible to help motivate people of every age to "find a way". Ben wakes up every day with purpose, his purpose is to help Veterans, Police and Fire fighters who are on a similar journey as he is.

Ben’s wife, Chondra Brown, started a non-profit called 9 Week Warrior.

9 week warrior takes Veterans, Police and Fire fighters thru 9 week of Personal Training, Yoga, Massage, Acupuncture, and homeopathic treatment at no cost to them.

There are two ways that 9 Week Warrior gets the funds to do this for the men and women who protect us. One is thru the 20% they keep from every single Personal Training, Homeopathic, Massage, Acupuncture, or Yoga session done in their home facility. (6205 El Camino Real, Carlsbad). It takes 100 sessions to put one Veteran or 1st Responders thru a program. The Second is thru Donations. Ben is running to attempt to raise $10,000 which will put 4 men or women thru the 9 Week Program.

So we need your encouragement, help and donations!

Here’s what we’re doing about it

Ben is going to push himself yet again to run 100 Miles to show our Veterans, police, firefighters, his children, and everyone that you can do anything if you put your mind to it. "100 Miles is not run with your body it is run with your mind ".
