On April 25 in Denver Co, C was stabbed while removing/covering up Patriot Front stickers from the outside of the Goodwill building on South Broadway. (Patriot Front is a splinter group of Vanguard America who tried to rebrand themselves after it came out that James Alexander Fields, who murdered Heather Heyer in Charlottesville, was wearing their logo and marching with them that day) An employee came out of the Goodwill and physically confronted C, saying "some people deserve to be in concentration camps". They stabbed C 5 times cutting them through their abdomen, into their heart and puncturing their lung. They lost 6 pints of blood and had to undergo emergency surgery. They were hospitalized for a week and are currently healing from their injuries. The person who did this was arrested, charged with felony aggravated assault, and released the next day on a PR bond. Inexplicably the Denver DA didn't file formal charges and on May 13 the case was dropped.

Our friend has ongoing medical care and transportation expenses to heal from their wounds and emergency surgery, as well as potential fees to try to get their belongings back that the city is holding. Any money raised here that is not used by them directly for these expenses will be donated.
