A little bit of context
Sexual violence can have lifelong impacts on people's lives; mental health issues, drug and alcohol issues, homelessness, isolation...
For some people these will make it hard for them to access traditional support and they can fall through the gaps.
They need something designed for them to help them reclaim their lives.
That's where we come in!
Our team of highly trained Specialist Support Workers provide flexible and creative support to help people cope and recover from trauma.
We help people to find what works for them e.g.
- support in the community meeting up where the person feels comfortable
- using art to make talking about feelings easier
- giving people the tools they need to cope with overwhelming emotions
Here's what some of the people we've supported say:
"I feel joyful coming to sessions."
“Just to say Thank You. All is ok and I feel really confident things are going for the better.”
“You have held my hand (metaphorically) through one of the most devastating but transformational periods of my life. The support and loving guidance you have given me is unforgettable and I’m sure will have long-lasting ripples throughout my life and beyond."
"I feel so very hopeful about my future, thanks to you.”
But there’s a problem
We have a gap in our funding which means this service might not be able to continue.
Here’s what we’re doing about it
Our dedicated fundraisers are out there finding new long term financial support but we need people's help to keep this crucial service going in the mean time.
You can join us
We want to raise £5000 that will cover 234 hours of support!
It will keep our amazing team of Specialist Support Workers in their jobs!
This money will be enough to pay our workers' wages, the costs of support rooms, and materials like art supplies.
They are an amazing team and we don't want to lose them. They are helping 24 women a week who rely on this support.
So please help us to raise this money by donating and sharing to save this vital service.
