It's time to take action STELLA FELLASFrom 1st June until July 10th I will be cycling 3000km from Darwin to Adelaide in support of one of PROJECT FUTURES biggest campaigns, Stella Fella. As a way of raising funding and awareness for the work of PROJECT FUTURES, I will be stopping at local schools and footy clubs to spread the message of what being a Stella Fella is all about and speaking about my own journey as a professional athlete.
As a former professional rugby league player for the Brisbane Broncos, I have seen how the game I love has been tainted by negative media surrounding some players who make decisions that are wrong, affecting the sports reputation. Through this campaign PROJECT FUTURES will showcase the many positive male role models within sport and take action against issues of exploitation and violence against women.
Later in the year From 29th October - 11th November 2015, I along with twenty-five men will be cycling through Cambodia as well in a momentous effort to support victims and survivors of one of the most devastating issues that exists in this world today - human trafficking and sexual slavery. This is an issue that deprives so many women and children of their dignity and innocence and now is the time for men to say 'NO MORE'
Support these two Stella Fella campaigns along the journey by donating to this worthy project. All funds raised are 100% tax deductible and will be going to two project partners of PROJECT FUTURES
1. The Salvation Army's Trafficking and Slavery Safe House in Australia
2. AFESIP Cambodia in Cambodia
